The Story Behind the Raindrop

Developed by D. Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, the Raindrop Technique brings together three thoughtful practices: pure essential oils, Vita Flex reflexology, and the gentle feathering touch inspired by the Lakota people.

The Lakota would gather where the Northern Lights danced, inhaling deeply and welcoming a charge of healing energy through the spine. When travel became difficult, they carried the practice inward — pairing intention with soft strokes along the back.

Since 1989, this method has been welcomed by wellness practitioners around the world as a supportive path to rejuvenation and inner balance.
