In May 2024, I came to a pivotal realization about the state of my own well-being. As someone whose passion lies in helping others achieve balance as a massage practitioner and life coach, I had neglected the need to nurture my own inner harmony. Embarking on this journey has been about prioritizing my health and rejuvenating my spirit, which ultimately enhances my ability to guide and support others.
During my exploration, I delved into the often-overlooked and realm of sleep. I discovered the profound impact quality sleep has on my energy levels, focus, and clarity. Through journaling, I tracked how I felt upon waking each morning. Interestingly, when using a device to monitor my deep sleep, I consistently saw improvements, experiencing between 18-23% deep sleep – delightfully within the recommended range for adults.
The intriguing part is, on days I forgo the device, I have also felt surprisingly refreshed. Realizing that my own intuition about my sleep quality can sometimes surpass technology, I have decided to rely on natural cues, only using tech when it complements my workout routines.
